What is FedEx/UPS delivery etiquette?

As a UPS driver, I tend to do as much for the customer as possible. For without them, I have no job. But when you are delivering 100+ stops a day, it would be impossible to do that for EVERY stop. I would say your driver could have been much more polite about the way he said it, but technically our job is to get the packages inside the building. They frequently tell us, we are not ''stock boys'' and to only take the packages as far as absolutely necessary.
