I want to go into entrepreneurship and work for myself with FedEx Ground?

I recently have become interested with wanting to become a FedEx Ground Contractor. I am aware that I get no benefits, make less money, etc. I have really good work ethic and don't mind staying out until 7:00 p.m. every night doing 165+ stops. I went to college though, and my parents think I can do better than my father, who worked 20 years doing what I want to do now. With the economy being the way it is, I just don't know what to do and was looking for some real advice on the situation. By the way I am a Business major with an Accounting and Spanish minor.
