I'd be willing to bet he thinks you're being annoying when you aren't comfortable being yourself, not because he underestimates your ability. We're all attracted to people with confidence. If I had been consistent and faithful with a girl I really cared about for a couple months and she couldn't be herself around me, I'd start to get annoyed too.
